The Maldives of Batangas

Stilts Calatagan Resort is tagged as the Maldives of Batangas because of its famous floating cottages similar to the popular Maldives resort.  I am a beach lover so its one of the summer getaways that I included in my travel bucket list this 2018. If you want an overnight stay I strongly suggest you make an early reservation online. I am pretty sure they are more than willing to help you to find your ideal schedule.  Here is the linked:  https://www.stiltscalataganbeachresort.net/.

If you want a quite resort  to stay with few people around then Stilts is the answer. This is one of the farthest beach places in Calatagan, Batangas.  It took us around 4 hrs to travel including the traffic from Bacoor city because our check in time is at 2 pm.  But if you are planning to have a day tour in the place, you should travel early in the morning to enjoy the place.

I would say Stilts is an high end beach resort because of its pricey food and accomodation. But i did  not mind spending much just to experience this wonderful place.  The resort is big with three eye catchy beaches namely: Serenity, Harmony and Destiny that you can enjoy during your stay there. They also have two pools one of which is infinity pool. They have pavillions and  conference room for company  outing.  Floating cottages for family and relatives and private cottages for couples. We stayed in passion cottage in front of the beach.  They offer varying ammenities from boat riding, scuba diving, SPA to aqua sports activities. Name it and they have it for you, just be ready to spend more money.  The parking areas are spacious so bringing private car is not really a problem.

The shoreline of the resort is wide so kids will surely enjoy the crystal water  to swim  and not to worry the deep.  The shallow water is dominantly covered with sea grass and some familiar animals like starfish and juvenile fish are unevenly observed in the water. Perhaps one of the highlights of your stay in this resort is to get to experience the Malvides feeling in the floating cottage. Unfortunately, this is not for everyone in the resort because only with overnight accommodation is allowed to take pictures. And i had  the privilege to have my selfie  in the aforementioned area.  Sounds discriminatory huh but that is the bad news if you decide the day tour  only .  Anyway, don’t get disappointed because there are other things to enjoy in the place .  The infinity pool for example is a cool place to relax with your family and friends. I also love  the sound of the wind chimes hanging in the trees everytime the wind blows.

Stilts is a pet friendly resort, they allow pets provided you are a responsible owner. Dogs are welcome as long as it is trained and it will not disturb or pose threat to other visitors who wanted to relax and enjoy. We brought our pet dog name Tiffany to enjoy the beach too.

The people working here are very hospitable from the security, maintenance, front desk to the    food attendees.   You would really feel the VIP treatment once you check in and even check out.  Honestly, I did not enjoy the food not because its expensive but it did not taste okay to my taste buds. We ordered hubad na lumpiang sariwa with our complementary drinks as our merienda. For our dinner we bought tulingan sa sinaing and sisig. But to be fair,  I appreciated the buffet breakfast that is serve usually  at 7 am until 10 am only.

One of the highlights of our stay is witnessing the beautiful sunset in the beach.  I find this very solemn and romantic.  Night at Stilts is very satisfactory it's so peaceful and quite which you cannot find in other beaches.  It is a perfect place to reflect, pray and find yourself because you don't hear noises anymore.

This place is highly recommended to people who love to go beach like us.  We will surely go back here next time.
